Marconi, Piombino – Livorno, grade 54/60) and he graduated in Civil Engineering, structural specialization, in 2005 (grade 106/110) at the University of Pisa with the thesis title “Dynamic Identification of the Vara Viaduct” (in Italian, Prof. P. Croce as first referee, Prof. P. Orsini and Eng. G. Buratti as supervisors). In January 2006 he started his Ph.D. in “Science and technique in civil Engineering, structural specialization” at the “Leonardo da Vinci” Ph.D. School of Pisa with the research topic: “Assessment of a methodology for monitoring and controlling in Historical masonry structures via wavelet based experimental modal analysis techniques”, under the supervision of Prof. P. Croce from Department of Civil Engineering, University of Pisa and Prof. M. Luise from Department of Information Engineering, University of Pisa. In December 2009 he gained the PhD title defending a thesis titled “Application of a wavelet based methodology for structural dynamic identification in historical masonry structures”. He made part of research activity at Laboratory for Dynamic of Machines and Structures (LADISK), faculty of Mechanical Engineering University of Ljubljana (SI), under the supervision of Prof. Miha Boltežar and Prof. Janko Slavic. The PhD thesis was awarded by Board of Engineers of Autonomous Province of Bolzano in the framework of Dissertation Awards 2010 “New materials and technologies in Civil Engineering”.
In 02/2006 he qualified as Professional Engineer at University of Pisa
In 2012 he starts his private company, Emme Studio. Emme Studio business areas matches Eng. Massimo Mengozzi professional and research experience, spreading from conventional structural design to more modern structural monitoring. For developing its business area Emme Studio developed partnership with companies operating in complementary professional fields.
