I live for breaking software! Helping solve the problem in theory or deep in the code is also a passion of mine.

My name is Eric Butkus, I live and work in the suburbs of Chicago, IL.
I have a history of customer service, face to face as well as over the phone and online. While helping people learn workflows or how to avoid defects or even fix them I decided to take on a role in Quality Assurance.
That was 8 years ago, since then I have manually tested many small and large pieces of software. I have with in the past few years created automated tests as well. Finding a defect is fun, but finding it the morning after a fresh build and knowing exactly what caused it is even better.
The past year or two I have also been designing new UI's for various projects. Supporting our users was always the main concern but since taking the QA role I almost forgot how important some things are. A screen should look a certain way, it should function as users expect it to function. User Experience is a very interesting part of Software and I plan to learn more about it.
