Graphic Designer, Comic Illustrator, & Survivor Castaway. Creator of Islands of Chaos.
Erik Reichenbach is a comic artist and graphic designer from Pinckney, Michigan. Since he could crawl he has been drawing imaginative worlds filled with crazy characters; it was no wonder that Erik wanted to grow up to be a creative professional. He received a Bachelor’s of Fine Art from Eastern Michigan University in 2009 and has since developed his own signature style through continual freelance work. Reichenbach has since had featured works in Entertainment Weekly, People.com, RobHasAWebsite, and in 2014 began development on a successfully funded Kickstarter.com mobile app game “Islands of Chaos”.
In 2008 Reichenbach applied and was selected to be a contestant on CBS’s Survivor Micronesia, Fans vs. Favorites as a fan, which filmed on the remote islands of Palau. Five years later in 2013 he was asked back to Survivor as a returning favorite on Survivor:Caramoan, Fans vs. Favorites in the Philippines. He was well known on the program for his naive vision of the world and blindly trusting women, who bamboozled him out of the million-dollar prize. Erik’s love of exotic island locations and absurd American Reality Shows have both been major influences on his comic works.
Erik grew up in Pinckney Michigan and started his illustrative career in the delightfully kitsch town of Hell, Michigan. You know what they say; “a career that starts in Hell has nowhere to go but up” After relocating to Valencia, California and soaking up the sun for a bit, Reichenbach and family migrated back to Michigan and settled in Ann Arbor, Michigan. He lives with his beautiful wife, Dana and their lovable English Creme Golden Retriever, Avalo; both of whom are huge supporters of his art.
