The Karate Geek
I showed interest in the martial arts at the early age of 8. Since then I have tried to walk the path of the Warrior Scholar. In 1997 I received my first black belt, then in 2012 I received the title of Kyo Sa Nim (Certified Instructor). I have built a school and have trained many students. From the martial arts I have learned honor, trust, integrity, and courage. All of these have made me into a model citizen and a valuable employee.
The Student
The martial arts have taught me to be a life long student. In 2007 I decided to follow a passion of mine and enroll in the University of Advancing Technology. I studied for 5 years and received a Bachelors degree in Game Design/Development. At UAT I completed two internships and worked on several student projects.
In one internship I assisted in developing game for a medical device called the Hand Mentor. It helped rehabilitate people who have lost a majority of their motor functions in their hand. I found this to be the best experience I gained at UAT. Building games for the purpose of helping others. This is want I want to do, build application to help improve the quality of life.
The Professional
Since school I have been continuing to study software development. I have created several websites for local companies and friends in my spare time.
