Creative, Innovative, Professional.
I treasure art and everything that is associated with it; colors, lines, and shapes always entertained my emotions. From the day I started speaking, my passion thrived the entertainment industry. At a very young age, adults would ask, “What do you want to be when you grow up?” I enjoyed responding with emphasis, “I want to be a make-up artist…but for famous people!” No one ever expected such a response from a five year old. At the time, I was oblivious to the concept of make-up artistry in show business, but I longed for the industry. In the year of 2000, at the age of six during the Internet boom, I found myself researching behind the scenes footage of my favorite shows, movies, and music videos. The technicality of filmmaking inspired me and the determination to discover the mystery behind it all never ceased.
However, not only did the procedural aspect of production intrigue me, but as I approached my teenage years, the aesthetics began to catch my eye. I spent hours speculating the meaning behind the color scheme of a movie. Ironically, during senior year of high school, I was exposed to more information regarding colors and symbolism in English class. At the age of 17, I composed an award winning research paper, which analyzed symbolism presented in the movie, The Great Gatsby. I was soon after presented the English Scholar award, which recognized this paper during graduation. I wish I still had that analysis.
With my love of research and writing, I decided to study law in college. After four years and a graduation later, legal studies exhausted me, and ultimately put a damper on my happiness. I needed to pursue the film industry and the universe could not make it any more obvious. Therefore, a month after graduation, I applied to the Radio-Television Production program at the University of Central Flori a very competitiveprogram, with a minor in Cinema Studies. Since I have accepted the program, I have never been so happy.
