I am offering my services as a copy-editor and proofreader. I am passionate about the use of correct English, in order to do justice to an author's manuscript. My preference is non-fiction.
I am a musician and retired music teacher. I spent many years playing bassoon in orchestras and a concert band. I then taught woodwind instruments full-time for twenty-five years, and part of my job, for the last seventeen years, was to also proofread magazine articles and my colleagues' reports. In 2020 I completed an online part-time copy-editing and proofreading course through the University of Cape Town, for which I hold a certificate. I love languages, literature, travel and the performing arts.
