Talented young writer hoping to help finance my college education through freelance writing and editing.

As a talented young writer interested in literature, art, design, language, and philosophy, I am working hard to put myself through college. My academic background provides me with an ideal set of skills and knowledge to do professional editing and writing. I have significant experience editing, critique, and proofreading academic writing and composing my own non-fiction and academic work. For example, my senior year of high school culminated in a a 5,000 word essay developing a thesis on the nature of the artist and theology giving me an opportunity to develop a polished piece of writing on my own. I have taken over four years of Latin courses, earning Summa Cum Laude on the National Latin Exam and translating extensive portions of works originally written in Latin. With this experience and expertise, I can provide translation from Latin text into English.
Additionally, I have a large amount of experience teaching in both a class setting and a one-on-one tutoring setting, making me ideal to work as a tutor or instructor.
Outside of school, I participate in a variety of activities. During high school, I pursued my love of art by taking drawing and painting classes at a community college and I often read books and articles or listen to podcasts about design and aesthetics. I have designed several greeting and invitation cards for various events and done illustrations for different works of children's and classic literature. I did classical ballet for thirteen years before teaching ballet classes for younger children. I also took karate for several years along with my dad and my brothers.
In my free time, I love spending rainy days drinking tea and coffee while reading, writing, or drawing. As an avid reader, my favorite classic novel is Bleak House and my favorite contemporary novel is Freddy and Fredericka.
