HI everyone! I'm Dallas, a medical professional and freelance writer. Writing has been a big part of my life. I first started writing in high school at the age of 17, winning 1st place in a state essay contest. In the 1990's and early 2000's I was a Deputy Sheriff in remote corners of Arizona, accuracy in report writing and research was key to a productive career and reduced time in court. In college and later in medical school, I earned a reputation as a gifted writer and researcher funding much of my living costs writing erotica for various on-line sites as well as 'helping' other students with their writing (hey, whatever keeps the lights on, right?).
Today as a medical professional, descriptive, accurate documentation is still an absolute essential to my livelihood. It is also my escape. Writing provides an outlet for my creative processes. If I'm not reading, I'm researching or writing -It's what I like best.
My hobbies? Well, I enjoy researching shipwrecks and related underwater archaeology. I can recall reading about my first wreck (the Titanic) in 1976 in a Time-Life book about our oceans. I was hooked. I've spent thousands of hours reading about or researching wrecks and the fascinating stories behind them. Living on the Oregon Coast has given me access to the unique history of wrecks in the American Northwest.
