I develop custom applications, using Excel/Access/Outlook VBA (aka macro) programming, to automate and streamline every day and one-time data collection, presentation and reporting tasks.
I try for an optimal solution given time and budgetary limitations. I have done lots of VBA and T-SQL application programming for financial institutions and tech companies, integrating Access, Excel, Outlook, Word and/or SQL server, as either an employee or a consultant. I recently built a Excel based application that automates the production of quotes for a tour and travel company. I like to make things as easy to use as possible and I am skilled at what used to be called "office automation," i.e., the automation and streamlining of repetitive data collection and reporting tasks as much as possible.
