My Journey Through Botany, Writing, and Passion

My fascination with nature began in childhood, where every tree, leaf, and flower seemed to hold wisdom. This passion led me to pursue a master's degree in ecology and environmental management at the University of Antananarivo, focusing on plant life, ecosystems, and conservation. My scientific approach to studying ecosystems fuels my dedication to biodiversity protection.

Currently, I work as a botany intern at the Parc Botanique et Zoologique de Tsimbazaza, where I classify plants, conduct floristic inventories, and digitize herbarium data using BRAHMS. The plant species I study contribute to Madagascar’s biodiversity mosaic, emphasizing the urgency of conservation efforts.

Previously, I worked at Anoka Botanic Wellness Store, ensuring accurate plant material identification for production use, which strengthened my precision and responsibility in resource management. My time at Madagascar Wildlife Conservation introduced me to ethnoecological surveys and data analysis using ExcelStat—an experience that sparked my interest in writing. Transforming complex scientific data into engaging reports revealed the power of storytelling in environmental science.
