Researcher (Academic) & Electrical Engineer

I have received Tech. Lic. and PhD degrees in Electrical & Electronics Engineering (EEE) from Lund University, Sweden.I worked as a faculty member in the School of EEE, Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore before moved to Canada. I have been affiliated with various universities/institutions in Canada as a research faculty as well as research scholar/visiting scientist and academic advisor. I have 30 years academic work experience in the university across three continents (Asia, Europe, and North America).

Research interests: Digital signal processing, Image processing, Pattern recognition, Statistical signal processing, Speech processing, Audio signal processing, Biomedical signal processing, Time series analysis, Bioacoustics.

Research publications: Published more than 140 research articles in peer-reviewed journals, conference proceedings, and book chapters.

Programming skills: MATLAB

Research supervision: Main/Sole supervisor for 7 PhD students (completed), co-supervisor for 5 PhD students (completed) besides supervised many MEng. and BEng. students.
