I am a dedicated public health scientist specializing in maternal and child health epidemiology, deeply committed to advancing education and research in the field. Currently, I am working as a Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Tennessee, USA. I also worked as public health consultant and evidence to policy specialist in the Fenot Project, which is being implemented by the Harvard T. Chan School of Public Health and The University of British Colombia. I was also appointed as an honorary research associate at the University of British Colombia.
I have 15 years of experience in various academic and administrative positions, including serving as Head of the School of Public Health, coordinating several programs, and participating in multiple committee activities. I also worked as a coordinator, team leader, supervisor, and data collector for several national research projects in Ethiopia. I have a range of experiences in different software packages such as STATA, SPSS, NVivo, Covidence, RevMan, MS Word, and MS excel.
I have a strong publication record with a cumulative citation score exceeding 3000. These publications cover a wide range of research topics and methodologies, demonstrating my expertise in executing various study designs, including quantitative, qualitative, systematic reviews, and meta-analysis approaches. I actively contribute to the academic community as a reviewer for numerous health and medical journals, and I hold the position of Academic Editor at PLOS One journal
