My debut novel, I Am Lucky Bird, was published in October 2011 by New Dawn Publishers in the UK and was a Fiction Finalist for the Book of the Year Award from ForeWord Reviews.

In early 2013, I self published my second novel, Crumble. It is the San Francisco Book Festival Winner for YA Fiction, a YA Fiction Finalist in the International Book Awards, the Silver Medal Winner in the category of YA, Mature Issues in the Moonbeam Children’s Book Awards, and a YA Fiction Finalist in the 2013 Best Book Awards from USA Book News. It was also listed in Working Mother Magazine as one of the top 7 Summer Reads for Tweens and Teens.

My most recent novel, Beautiful Girl, was a YA Fiction Finalist in the 2015 Best Book Awards from USA Book News.

Additionally, I have written articles featured on WriterUnboxed.com, The Back Page of the San Francisco Book Review, the Portland Book Review Author Spotlight, and Dear Teen Me. I was also a writer on the documentary, STRIPPED (www.strippeddocu.com).

Since January 2016, I have been focusing primarily on ghostwriting. During that time, I have written one romance novel and two memoirs.

I hold an MFA in Creative Writing from Antioch University in Los Angeles and a BA in English from the University of Montana. I am also a member of the Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators.
