The more strange + fascinating, the greater.
Graphic designers (sometimes called graphic artists) use their skills to create media items such as magazines, labels, advertisements, and signage.
Many graphic designers can draw and design by hand and use these skills to create rough drawings and mock ups.
The following are examples of typical responsibilities:
collaborating with clients to establish their needs, timelines, and budget
From typesetting through graphic design, print, and production, I'm in charge of client proposals.
dealing with clients' ideas and expectations management
Creating concepts, graphics, and layouts, including fonts, images, readability, and reader requirements.
choosing font type and size, as well as the size and placement of prose and illustrative material preparing early material drafts based on an agreed-upon brief
keeping clients informed, listening to and acting on feedback, and explaining why certain graphic design decisions were made.
examining final layouts and, if necessary, suggesting improvements
keeping up with design and software developments
coordinating with outside printers or production teams to ensure that deadlines are fulfilled and that materials are printed or presented to the best possible standard.
In-house graphic designers often work standard office hours, but may be required to work longer when deadlines loom. Working as a freelance graphic designer allows you to establish your own hours, but they will likely be longer when assignments are due.
