Work Experience
Work experience is often the most tangible proof of our skills and abilities. Throughout my career, I’ve had the opportunity to work in diverse environments, each offering unique challenges and learning opportunities. Earlier on, I worked in the Public Communication Department of the institution responsible for revenue in my country, where I developed foundational skills such as writing and proofreading what others have written. This role taught me the importance of paying attention to detail, time management, or teamwork.
In my most recent job as Unit Head of a life insurance company, I encountered new challenges that pushed me to expand my capabilities. One memorable project involved rewording of the policy terms and conditions of all our policies, which required not only technical expertise but also strong leadership and communication skills. I was able to come up with the appropriate policy wording which could easily be understood by the layperson as well as meet my deadlines, which reinforced my belief in the power of collaboration and persistence.

Values
Values are the guiding principles that influence our decisions and behaviors. Throughout my life and career, certain values have consistently stood out as essential to me. Integrity is at the core of everything I do. I believe that being honest and transparent, even when it’s difficult, builds trust and respect, which are crucial in any professional or personal relationship.
Another key value is continuous learning. The world is constantly evolving, and I’ve always felt it’s important to stay curious and open to new ideas. Whether through formal education, professional development, or simply learning from others, I strive to keep growing and improving. This value has led me to seek out new challenges and opportunities that push me out of my comfort zone, helping me to develop new skills and perspectives.

Personal Anecdotes
One experience that profoundly shaped my approach to work and life occurred when I had a lot on my plate but had to meet my deadline for proofreading a document that was to be presented at a board meeting. I stayed up throughout the night before the meeting to unable me meet my deadline. This experience taught me the value of perseverance. It was a challenging time, but it reinforced my belief in the importance of diligence and perseverance.


Hobbies
Outside of work, my hobbies provide a much-needed balance and help to recharge my energy and creativity. I have a passion for reading and going out for brisk walking, which I find to be both relaxing and mentally stimulating .I read both soft copy or printed copy, I enjoy these activities as they help me to unwind after a hard day

Work Terms

Hours of Operation
My hours of operation will be any time from 4pm to 12am GMT , Monday to Friday ,which will be after my regular job. I will be available to proofread and edit texts that I receive after my regular working hours. During these hours, I will be fully committed to handling your editing and proofreading needs, whether you require quick turnaround on urgent projects or detailed work on more extensive documents while ensuring that I maintain the highest quality in my work.
For text that will be sent outside these hours such as urgent weekend requests kindly send WhatsApp in advance.
Payment Terms
My payment terms are straightforward and designed to ensure clarity and fairness for both parties. I will prefer to be paid within seven (7) days of submitting my proofread text .I will also prefer bank transfers or transfers into my American Express account allowing for flexibility based on your preferences. I am however willing to discuss any other payment options available.

Preferred Communication Style
Effective communication is key to delivering the best possible editing and proofreading services. I prefer to receive all communications via WhatsApp, but also depending on your preference. This will allow me to receive prompt alerts and work immediately wherever I am . My responses or feedback will be sent through the same medium it was received. I would also preferred this method of communication for updates and feedback. This ensures that all instructions and changes are documented and can be easily be referenced. My aim is to respond to your WhatsApp within 24 hours of receipt. For an immediate concern or quick clarification, I also available by phone during these hours. If you have preferences for another communication platform, I am open to discuss what works best for you.
