Your goal is at arms distance, all you have to do is open the right door.
Being a business and economics student, I honestly never associated with all those marketing terms and models. I just learn't the essence of it. This helped me a lot with my job as head of marketing for a food based start up. I realized that marketing wasn't just about following the P's model or the SIVA model or forcing the product into the market just for sales. But it had a lot to do with tapping that tangent of satisfying the need of the customer. If there is no need, then marketing should be about creating that need into our markets. Once we understand how that product associates to the consumer on a bigger level, then marketing it in any way will be most fruitful because you're following one principle. I've worked at a couple of food and lifestyle startups and managed their marketing, from strategizing to implementation.
