About

A miracle is when an image touches your soul; this is the philosophy that drives me in photography.

Gabriel Guerra Bianchini, photographer and visual artist born in Cuba, with Italian and Swiss roots. I currently reside in Madrid. I have been working mainly in the field of arts and culture for over 15 years. I am inspired by the effervescence that artists give me, which I so much enjoy capturing in a way that touches the soul. It’s a mutual gift; I always say I aim to freeze moments that first move me and then the rest. At least that is the driving force that has led me to witness so many wonders. In my career, I have worked at various festivals ranging from film to dance, primarily focusing on music, as well as corporate events. Festivals in the south of France like Rio Loco, Jazz in Marciac, Cinelatino, among others. In the past seven years, I have worked at almost all major cultural events in Cuba. I can mention the historic megaconcert by The Rolling Stones in Havana or the one by Diplo and Major Lazer on the Malecón. I was the official photographer of the Chamber Music Festival of Maestro Leo Brouwer for over seven years. Jazz Plaza Festival, Havana Film Festival, Josone Festival in Varadero, Havana World Music, among many others. I have had the good fortune that my work has been part of albums by prestigious musicians such as Silvio Rodríguez, Pablo Milanés, Francisco Céspedes, Harold López-Nussa, etc. Besides directing and producing the music video for "Noche sin fin y mar" by Silvio Rodríguez, for which I received the Lucas Award 2020 for Best Photography. In the corporate field, I have collaborated with prestigious international brands such as Zenith Watches, YPO Mumbai, Dunhill, Havana Club, BrasCuba, and Pernod Ricard.
