Hello. I’m Gail Smith, an office support professional with more than 45 years’ experience. I am mature, intuitive, and draw my expertise from roles including those as an entrepreneur, youth camp administrator, law office manager, legal secretary, paralegal, typesetter, design and layout artist, newspaper carrier, educator, and concierge. Helping people is my passion. As a transcriptionist I can accommodate your quick turnaround requests as well as your scheduling requirements. My ability to follow a speaker's train of thought and to intuitively understand the idea he or she is conveying gives me a decided edge over most less experienced transcriptionists. I have transcribed everything from a West Coast newspaper reporter's interviews to memoirs of senior citizens being compiled for a book to ministers' sermons to time entries for an East Coast lawyer.

I hold a Religious Studies undergraduate degree as well as a master’s degree in Educational Studies in addition to having done course work toward a master’s in Licensed Professional Counseling.

Work Terms

I do communicate with Messenger, charge $1.00/audio minute of clear dictation, and my turnaround time for a 30 minute dictation project would be within 90 minutes. I am available for transcription work between the hours of 6:00 a.m. and 9:00 p.m. CT
