My mission is to deliver quality work at an honest rate, and t always put the customer first.
I was born with the ability to draw and paint. At the age of 5 years I began painting with oil paints and watercolors. I have been drawing and painting my entire life.
I qualified in graphic design at the Durban Institute of Technology in 1986. After 5 years of working in small to medium sized design studios and advertising agencies, I began my own company, Flexi Pen. I was based at a reproduction house where I produced finished art and illustrations for the packaging industry. I was manager of the reproduction workshop for about 5 years.
With the advent of the internet I left the reproduction industry and started a internet hosting and website design company called Macnet. Macnet eventually evolved into what is my current company Cybersmith.
In more than 30 years of working for myself I have serviced and looked after more customers than I can remember. I have walked a very unusual and winding path and in so doing I have learnt and become proficient in almost every aspect of design and promotion. I have been an illustrator specializing in finished art both computerized and hand draw. I have translated architects drawings into artists impressions and done hundreds if not thousands of illustrations for packaging. Food, juice labels, flowers, fruit, alcohol labels, chip and sweet packets. You name it and I will have probably draw or painted it at some point. I have also worked on a number of magazines, brochures and leaflets. I have a complete knowledge of the reproduction process both computerized and traditional, and even though I specialize in website development I still do a lot of design for print, logos, posters and anything else my clients require.
More recently, I have been involved in the local music industry, working closely with a music recording and live show production company called The Headroom Studios based in Durban, South Africa. I have designed numerous cd covers, inserts, music posters and many additional smalls connected to promoting musicians
