I started as a software developer in my first job but soon realized my heart was in sales & marketing side of the business and entrepreneurship was the cool thing for me.
I soon left my job as software developer and joined a firend's startup where I was given business development role. Initially, cold calling was really frustrating but soon I got used to rejections and understood that sales is more about mental toughness and smart tactics to generate interest and probably close.
I introduced the process of inside sales in my company through online research along with trial & error which running an inside sales process for myself to generate and close leads.
The experience I gained helped me join a seed fund of startups where I helped SaaS based portfolio companies adapt inside sales and grow revenues. I also had to interview and shortlist relevant startup. I had to send startups for further analysis by investment committee.
I currently started a company, Sellulose, which provides tools and services for sales people.
