A poet and writer with an elegant style
I am a London-based writer working online, live and in print. I have presented my work in the UK and Europe, on BBC radio, and at festivals including Latitude and the Venice Biennale.
I've developed digital projects including the fictional photoblog 5am London (2012-13) and Look up at the Sky (2011), exploring quiet, walking and writing in the city.
Speak to Strangers (2009-10) was one hundred stories about random interactions with Londoners, published as a book in 2011. Similar projects took place in Manchester, Birmingham, Devon and then the Tate Modern (2011-13).
A View from Here (2013), a set of stories written in public was commissioned by Jewish Book Week. This led to the Live Writing Series (2013), seven events which championed writing as performance.
I write articles, non-fiction and blogs, and am frequently commissioned by arts organisations - from the Southbank Centre to the Photographers' Gallery (UK) - to produce original new writing.
