Gil Vazquez is a student journalist/writer, crypto-enthusiast and multimedia artist, born and raised in Brooklyn, New York also spending much of his life exploring Manhattan.

Along with his love for music, writing and art, he also has a passion for cryptocurrencies, business and stocks, science, nature, politics, and current events.

Gil Vazquez completed his Associates Degree at the Borough of Manhattan Community College and is pursuing his Bachelors Degree in Journalism at Baruch College (CUNY). He is focusing on journalism, authoring books, creative graphics, and spreading himself through all available platforms and new medias. ?He is also a stock and crypto currency investor and trader.

He received his diploma at the High School of Art and Design where he focused on drawing and computer graphics, learning programs such as Adobe Photoshop, Poser and Bryce 3D, while also learning the basics of html, and animation.

September 11, 2001 was a defining point for Gil, as well as a turning point for millions of other Americans, and the rest of the world. As he watched the World Trade Center burn and collapse from his rooftop, he felt a "patriotic calling" to join the Armed Forces and serve a higher purpose to his nation. And in March of 2003, as the Iraq war began, he enlisted in the United States Army in 2003. In January of 2004, one month after completing his basic training, he was ordered to be deployed to Iraq to replace one of the dozen fallen soldiers of his unit. Gil Vazquez received the War on Global Terrorism service medal.

Gil remains a proud U.S. Veteran and a supporter of all Veterans. He is a member of Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans of America and also shows appreciation for his fellow soldiers.
