Ivy League educated web and graphic designer who can research and write.
After training to teach, then teaching classroom music in England, when I came to the US I decided I needed a complete change of direction. (Living in Princeton, NJ for ten years also left me very aware that I was seriously undereducated, which may have influenced my next step.) As a result I decided to attend the University of Pennsylvania to get my masters degree, and emerged with a liberal arts degree in visual communications.
Going to Penn as an adult was an amazing experience, and from it have experienced the thrill of bringing my passions for research and writing into being. Since graduating I have been working as a freelance graphic and web designer, and also create communications materials for churches.
When not in front of a computer I’m an NPR listening, coffee drinking, New York times crossword-aholic who loves to travel, and always ready for the next adventure. I have long loved to make handcrafted items, and have several shops open on Etsy which I co-run with one of my daughters. I am an ex-pat Briton who has lived in the US since 1988. I finally became a US citizen in early 2012.
I primarily work with individuals who are starting their own business or developing a passion project. In this capacity I fulfill many roles from web designer, to SEO and social media strategist, to cheerleader and encourager.
