Hello, my name is Gitana. I hold a double BA in English Literature and English Creative Writing from CSU, Long Beach. I am currently an MA student in Literature at CSULB as well. I would love the opportunity to do this job because I consider myself an efficient editor. I have had to edit my classmates' papers, works of fiction, and purpose statements. I enjoy being meticulous when it comes to proofreading and editing. To me, editing content means not only correcting typos and grammar mistakes, but removing awkward or excess words and phrases to make each sentence flow better.

I have experience on Upwork editing questions and answers for “Learnerator.com”, a website that provides young students with practice test prep for AP, SAT, ACT, and other tests. I have also recently finished a job editing descriptions for furniture for Kids-Only-Furniture’s shopping website.

Attached is a purpose statement that I had to edit for my friend who applied to Georgetown University for medical school. My edits to the document are made in red.

Work Terms

I am willing to work for 10/hr or for a flat rate of at least $50. If the content is larger than 5,000 words then I will have to negotiate what the pay is going to be.
