Hi, I am Grace. I discovered writing by chance, 8 years ago.

By profession, I am an economist/public policy researcher. My work entails combining intellectual flair, innovative thinking and political knowledge, and channeling those into research on a wide range of government policies. It is challenging, yet rewarding, slow, but also sometimes fast paced. Frankly, it is laden with ups and downs, so I am constantly seeking a stable, but equally rewarding outlet.

When I am not trying to save the world (I'm humble, I promise), I volunteer as a writer/editor/proofreader for some development agencies and NGO's (specifically those that work with children and women). It truly is the best outlet, and the organisations I volunteer for do phenomenal work. If I didn't need sustenance, I would volunteer for them full time.

That being said, I am now trying to monetize some of my skills (outside of my work, that is). I am hoping to build a freelance career. Perhaps through this, I would someday be able to devote more time to volunteering for worthy causes. In my head, this all sounds noble, but I will also be truthful and say that it really wouldn't hurt to make a little extra money.
