I am founder and owner of The Syracuse Pen, a writing and editing service based in Syracuse, N.Y. I studied writing and English literature in the United States and Great Britain, with short fiction pieces published in both countries. My international and award-winning domestic journalism have appeared in Gannett newspapers, and short opinion pieces have appeared in The Atlantic and The New York Times.
I hold a bachelor’s degree in mass communication from the State University of New York at Plattsburgh, where I was the commencement speaker at his graduation, and holds a master’s degree in education from Marist College. I live outside Syracuse with my wife and son.
