I have never really been into writing long essays or anything like that, but proof reading and making changes to essays is a lot more fun to me personally. I just like reading something and if I think changing a word or two would make the writing sound better than I have the freedom to do that and I don't have worry about making different paragraphs flow into one another or making sure I'm following all the guidelines that I was given beforehand.
