Writer, Reporter, Editor
I am a freelance journalist, writer, and editor. I have experience in digital writing, mass communications/AP style, professional writing, and even poetry. I also am versed in social media, video editing in Adobe Premiere Pro, podcast/audio creation, and design work in Adobe InDesign.
I'm currently a triple major in magazine at the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications, a top journalism school in the country; citizenship and civic engagement; and writing, composition, and rhetoric at Syracuse University with a GPA of 3.9. I am also in the honors college and am an Archbold-Day Scholar.
I have excellent skills in the English language and composition, holding a 4.0 in my writing major and earning an A in a difficult grammar course at the prestigious, highly competitive Newhouse school. Further, I am versed in user-friendly and accessible writing formats, as I have completed extensive research and work in the disability community.
Beyond my extensive journalism education at one of the top communications schools in the country, I have had practical experience through internships as a reporter, involvement in campus publications, and stories written for rigorous Newhouse classes. I have extensively independently reported and written for TheBurg Magazine, a news magazine in Harrisburg, PA; have written and edited for Syracuse University's 360 Degrees Magazine, the university's oldest student-run general interest magazine; and edited and produced Syracuse University's Intertext magazine, a publication that showcases work from the university's writing program. I have also published poetry in the university's student-run literature and art magazine, Perception.
