About

Your vision, professionally driven.

Non-profit development is not merely my career choice- it is my avenue for making a positive impact on the world. Since volunteering for various organizations with my mother as a child, I knew I wanted to make my living in a field that allowed me to help worthy causes. That is why I decided to get my bachelor’s degree in psychology, with the idea that I would become a Psychologist or a School Counselor. During that time, I had the life changing experience of interning under Dr. Marta Shinn at the Child Guidance Center. It was there that I spearheaded a team to write my first grant proposal- a grant that was awarded its full requested amount of $40,000 by Harvard University’s Institute of Coaching. That experience, and other successful fundraising efforts that followed, made it clear to me that I had a knack for development and had the potential to raise hundreds of thousands, if not millions, for causes that I cared about. After completing my internship I started assisting the CEO and the Director of Development at the Orange County Bureau of Jewish Education. Less than a year into my position, the Director quit unexpectedly and I took over her role as an interim. The CEO realized that I was bringing in more money than my predecessors had raised in all areas of fundraising- grants, annual campaign, events, planned gifts, etc., so he decided to refrain from hiring a replacement and let me continue on in the role. For the past 4 years, I have exceeded the previous year’s numbers in every area of development that I was responsible for coordinating. In additional, I served the professional role in launching a previously non-existent planned giving campaign which yielded over 20 legacy commitments in its first year alone. I have a passion and a knack for this field, over 6 years of experience wearing many hats in a fast-paced setting, and high standards that I hold myself to in the areas of work ethic and goal attainment.

Work Terms

I am very flexible and adaptive to the needs of each unique organization that I work with- I am always willing to discuss and negotiate work terms to establish a mutually beneficial arrangement.
