Microsoft Access and Excel solutions

I've been working as an Actuarial analyst in the health care industry for the past 28 years. My passion has been building tools and models using Microsoft Access and Excel as well as helping my co-workers become more proficient in using these tools. In most cases, using these simple tools provides a quicker, cheaper, and easier to maintain solution than corporate IT solutions.

I'm very proficient in all aspects of Micrsoft Access and Excel, including the use of forms, user inputs, dynamic array formulas, VBA, power pivots, and automation. Whatever the need is, there's a way to make these tools step up to the task.

My approach towards projects is:
- Speak with the customer to ensure I have a full understanding of the scope and purpose of the project to ensure all needs will be met appropriately.
- Determine the most appropriate tool(s) to use to meet the goals.
- Create models that are easy to maintain and modify.
- Anticipate future needs and build in flexibility.
- Test to ensure all bugs are worked out before delivery.
- Document

I also love to make things - baking, knitting, crocheting, Cricut projects, 3D printing are my favorite hobbies!

Work Terms

I'm still working my "day job" part time, but I have flexibility in my time. Rate is $75/hour.
