“The inclination of my life—the motto, you might call it—has been to do things and make things which will give pleasure to people in new and amusing ways.” —Walt Disney
I am an alumni now at Concordia University, Nebraska in Seward, Nebraska with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Graphic Design. Although I have this degree, as a child I always dreamed of being a character designer or illustrator at entertainment companies for television, movies, video games, etc. Lately, however, I have recalled the love I had for illustrating children's books when I was a kid sitting in my mom's office drawing.
I prefer hands on illustration using primarily colored pencils, oil pastels, graphite, charcoal, etc. I love learning new mediums, however. I'm very open to trying new things. I am also able to work on digital illustrations as well, though I still prefer the tactile approach. My next favorite design aspect I enjoy is Typography.
Along with art, I have a passion for music. I listen to basically everything and have gained admittance into the A Capella Choir at Concordia. I would love to get a chance to maybe do some voice acting and singing for the entertainment industry at some point in my life. I think it would be quite a fun adventure!
I am a fast learner so though I may have no idea what a certain program does, my computer skills that I've gained through years of sitting here, give me the advantage to learn and understand quickly.
