French to English Translation Services Specialising in Corporate, Legal and Financial translations

At the age of 18, after a very traditional English boarding school education, I enrolled at the Sorbonne University in Paris. Until then my French classes could be summed up by lists of conjugated verbs, uninspiring texts books and hours spent looking out of the window. I continued my studies in Edinburgh, only this time I majored in economics. I then moved to London where I worked for nine years in the London media industry. Then one May weekend I met a Frenchman, fell in love and moved to France. That was nineteen years ago. For the greater part of that time I worked as General Manager in the automobile industry, creating and analysing financial reports, business plans, employment contracts, commercial contracts, liaising with external agencies and procuring technical and financial services, both in English and French. The development of the business overseas meant that all corporate documents had to be translated into both languages, and well that's where it all started…..

Work Terms

My working hours are generally 8am to 6pm French local time (GMT+1). However these hours are regularly moved around to fit in with client deadlines (often last minute!) and different time zones. My regular rate is 35$ per hour or 0.08$ per source word.
