Hilary Krzywkowski was born on the east side of Cleveland, Ohio and lived there for 18 years before attending the Columbus College of Art and Design and Kent State University, where she studied Fine Art, English, and Anthropology. An ill prepared and tumultuous Aliyah to Israel and the challenges of chronic illness that followed the traumatic yet meaningful birth of her son transformed her orientation to reality. Presently, Hilary incorporates the life cycles in both her writing and visual pieces, which include the themes of youth, loss, the fusion of Native American and Jewish myth, instinct, and intuition as spirituality, and the fantasy worlds we all escape to in times of pain. She’s also established a press with her husband called Sojourner’s Tent, and together, they’ve published “Afterbirth: A Journey Through the Death of My Self,” an unconventional memoir of her experience with birth trauma and illness as poetry, art work, dream sequences, and journals. She plans to relocate to British Columbia with her family to continue her work in the arts and train for certification in Expressive Arts Therapy.

Work Terms
I'm flexible. My standard pricing is $10.00 per hour, though for more complex projects where the acquisition of materials becomes more pricey, and/or the level of artistry demands more physical work, the hourly wage will raise anywhere between a 2 dollar and 5 dollar margin. The best way to know is to just ask me. I've been known to barter services as well, and I try to work with everyone and keep pricing flexible. RESPECT is the main point of importance for me. I'd like to enter into a respectful relationship with my clients. Good and open communication is part of that.
