THINGS YOU NEED TO CONSIDER AND KNOW
• I have already selected my pro-bono projects. I will not work for free or donate my services to any other organization at this time.
• I do not work on a contingency basis. Due to the amount of time and resources used from my professional time, knowledge/experience, other expenses to include: computer, internet service, telephone, etc., to screen and assist organizations, I must charge clients.
• Regardless of what may be expressed or implied verbally, it is my policy to only begin work once a signed agreement is in place.
• While I will provide you with top-notched work based upon my nearly seventeen years of professional experience - I cannot imply or promise any guarantee that your grant proposal(s), LOI’s, press releases, plans, campaigns, or other projects will be funded, have the draw, or have the prescribed outcome that you may desire.
• Realistic time-frames. Ideally, work should be scheduled two-weeks in advance to ensure that the work is competitive and accurate, and that there is enough lead time to schedule and complete it. Also keep in mind, to be truly competitive with federal or larger foundation proposals, or other similarly complicated projects, it is recommended that work begins no less than 30 to 60 days in advance. Smaller hourly projects, such as letters of inquiries, press releases, article write-ups, campaign letters, eblasts, etc. need at least one week advance notice.
• I will not lie for clients, and I do not work with clients that intentionally lie to internal/external audiences. I will not intentionally fudge the truth (lie) in an effort to attempt to get a grant, or to reach a specific outcome. Statistics and information cited must be backed-up with truthful sources that can be verified.
