I am a hepatologist, gastroenterologist and data scientist.

First and foremost, I like statistics and related issues, I find it interesting to apply the statistical methods on messy data and get useful tidy information from it. In my view, it looks like extraction of precious metals from Earth's interior.
I went to the faculty of medicine in 2003 and officially graduated in 2011, then I worked as a general practitioner in a primary health care unit for about 2 years then I worked as a resident in hepatology and gastroenterology department in Beni Suef general hospital where I started to learn the GI endoscopy techniques and after that I got the master degree in hepatology and gastroenterology which allowed me to promote in my career to be a hepatology and gastroenterology specialist.
I wanted to go further in this specialty so I registered for a M.D. degree in tropical medicine and gastroenterology where I got a biostatistics course as one of the requirements for getting the degree.
In this course I have learned about types of data and statistical methods and how to apply them on data to get useful information, I also learned about IBM SPSS and how to use it and it was very interesting for me to work on it. I decided to learn more about data analysis and I started learning R programming.
Now I am studying Data analysis professional track provided by Udacity, this course added a huge amount of knowledge about coding in python and analyzing data to me and I hope to use this knowledge to be a professional data scientist.
