Ian Tan graduated in 2019 from Messiah University, Pennsylvania, with a Bachelor’s Degree in English and a Creative Writing concentration. Since then, the writing and editing skills he cultivated from childhood has only continued growing.
From 2020 to 2021, he was brought onboard the creative writing contest Ink and Insights as a literary judge, where he gained more experience analyzing and critiquing submissions. He also offered coaching and developmental edits for a novel manuscript, and is eager to take on more projects in 2022.
In early 2022, he began an editing/proofreading business called Scripts and scenes, alluding to his ability to regulate dialogue and descriptive skills within fiction pieces.
In between all these milestones, he honed his art by reading more fiction, as well as developing a novel that will hopefully see release in 2023.
Writing authentic and vulnerable inner monologue, plot skeleton, world building, and descriptions are spheres within his expertise.
