Ian Tausig comes from a law enforcement background. While in law enforcement, Ian was responsible for acting as primary investigator on all major crimes cases that were assigned to him. Ian was even assigned to a Major Crime Response Team as a collateral assignment, and, while assigned to this team, was regularly called-out to assist with the investigation of major crimes.
Ian received training on controlled substances investigations, property crimes investigations, sexual assault investigations, homicide investigations, and gang related crimes. He has participated in or directed the investigation of numerous narcotic investigations, as well as violent crime and death investigations, including shootings, stabbings, sexual assaults, natural deaths, suspicious deaths, and suicides.
Ian excelled at, and was extensively trained in crime scene investigation and forensics and conducted forensic investigations in hundreds of property crime cases, then testifying as a lead forensic investigator.
Ian received training in traffic collision investigations and has investigated over 100 traffic collisions as the primary investigator, and assisted in the investigation of hundreds more. Ian even served as a member of the Santa Paula Police Department’s Traffic Accident Reconstruction Team. This experience has been invaluable in conducting investigations for personal injury cases as a private investigator.
Upon founding Tausig & Associates, Ian utilized and expanded on all his law enforcement experience as a private investigator, dedicated to helping his clients and solving their cases.
Ian is a certified Social Media Intelligence Expert. Ian has conducted hundreds of cyber investigations and social media investigations since 2005. Ian is frequently sought after by law enforcement officers, licensed investigators, and attorneys to consult on evidence and intelligence gathering.
