I write authentic stories

I am a journalist and creative writer. I love interviewing people to distill their stories into profiles, feature stories, and Q&As. I often cover arts and culture stories, but I write a bit of everything including social issues. I've done stories on musicians, police brutality, community gardening, an international African pop star, and a young woman living with advanced cancer. I have bylines in LA Weekly, VICE, WNYC, and the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, among others. From June 2016 to April 2018, I was a Features Writer at the Frederick News-Post in Frederick, Maryland.
