Quality engineering done honestly and accurately
Engineering is my passion. I really enjoy taking an idea from concept to reality by figuring out what works and what doesn't through proper engineering design and analysis.
I have found that the most crucial aspect of engineering is good communication with the customer. Working with my customers to clearly define requirements at the beginning of the design phase saves time and money and in many cases makes the difference between success and failure on a project. I have very good people skills that facilitate clear communication and effective working relationships.
After working in the defense and aerospace industry for 8 years I have developed a number of skills and worked on a large variety of projects. I covered everything from Computer Aided Drawing (CAD) to create 3 dimensional models, hardware design, Finite Element Analysis (FEA) which can asses wither or not my designed parts will structurally fail or not, Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) to analyze fluid flow properties, and the creation of shop ready mechanical drawings that have full dimensions and tolerances according to current GD&T standards.
As an engineer I have managed several projects and I understand the importance of verifying the design early in the design phase which can save time and money in the long run. That is why I have invested in a 3D printer so that I can quickly and affordably create a prototype of the product. With this I can do several things such as verify that the designed part fits within an assembly, perform any relevant testing on the prototype or ship the prototype to the customer. With this the costumer can properly visualize the design and make sure that they are getting the exact product that they want.
Work Terms
I work regular work days from 8-5 but when the schedule or demand calls for a little more time I do what it takes to get the job done. It is always easiest to get a hold of me on my cell phone (760-977-7101) however it is often useful to do web conferencing as well for "face to face" communication. If the job is big enough I don't mind traveling for a meeting with clients when necessary but I'll make do without when ever possible to keep my costs low.
