I'm an editor and hired Julie as a proofreading partner. We worked together to fine tune a nonfiction book which will be self-published by the authors. Julie is an excellent resource and sounding board for the nuances of language. She caught typos and errors that went unseen in multiple rounds of edits and reviews by me and the authors. I hired Julie to do some work for us and on the first job she did great. However on the next two jobs she keep out intellectual property and never returned our numberous calls. It was very disturbing, so much so that I feared something had happend to her. Nonetheless, I would highly recommend finding out her mode of operation and her reasons for dropping off complete communication.
