Embedded software engineering solutions that meet your budget and timeline.
I specialize in Embedded & Real Time Systems Programming of Devices for Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) Solutions, that improve operational efficiency and cut down operations cost.
I design and develop systems software for Embedded Systems with Real Time and Low Latency requirements, with mobile/fixed, wireless/wired network connectivity to the Cloud IoT Core, and running ML / AI workloads.
I have a Certificate in Real Time & Embedded Systems Programming from University of Washington, with focus on Embedded Software development using C/C++, RTOS µC/OS-II, QP(HSM/Statecharts) and ARM Cortex-M4 based development boards.
I have previously designed and developed prototype of a Solar powered standalone AI Camera System for Remote Industrial Operations and for use at Construction Work Sites; Ubuntu (Linux) based Edge Device and Gateway with OpenCV for image capture and preprocessing, CAT M1 cellular wireless connectivity, MQTT over TCP transport with GCP Cloud IoT Core, Edge Device and Gateway Software programming in Python, for Object Detection and Identification at remote industrial sites (with no mains power and no WiFi); on-board sensor boards with firmware programming in C.
The prototype involved Motion Detection on Edge device with OpenCV; Device Management and Remote Control in Cloud IoT Core; Live notifications of events and state from Edge Device; Image conversion at the back end with Cloud Functions and Object Identification with Cloud Vision API.
I am a Texas Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) - Electrical, Electronics and Computer, and have graduate and undergraduate degrees in Electronics & Communications Engineering from Panjab University.
I have previously held Software Test Engineering positions with Alcatel-Lucent (now Nokia) and Kodiak Networks (now Motorola); and have delivered final tested production releases of C++ System Software for 3G, 4G LTE Cellular Wireless Network Elements deployed in T-Mobile, AT&T and Verizon Wireless networks.
