Results-driven automation engineer and project manager with over 20 years of expertise in project management. Capable of initiating or salvaging projects to make sure they meet timelines.
After studying Engineering, my career took me through managing projects small and large in a variety of industries including automotive, aerospace, lab automation, biotechnology, and medical devices.
I have worked in everything from underwater to vacuum to metal working to standard office to ISO 1 cleanroom and BSL 4 biohazardous lab environments.
My first job was initiating a commonized design standard for all Ford products at Ford's design center in Dearborn Michigan. From there I was sent to work at Motorola on their latest Generic Electronics Module and Onboard Security Systems for automotive applications. After I completed my projects with Ford and Motorola, I was the project manager for the development of an automated system for genetic analysis being used in many labs around the world today. This experience then caught the attention of DARPA, (Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency) where i was the project manager and co inventor of the system for automatic identification of bioagents currently being used by the NIH and the US military. My career later took me into the area of medical devices in the fields of diabetes management, neurology, interoccular lenses, and ophthalmology.
