I am from a small town in Northern Arizona -- a wild western town of retirees and Mexicans, of cowboys and hippies. I went to college in Indiana. Despite my best efforts, I graduated with a B.A. in the Program of Liberal Studies (I have heard it called the book-club major, among other things) and a minor in Journalism, Ethics, and Democracy. After I graduated, I worked as a volunteer at an urban high school, doing a whole host of things. I enjoy reading, writing, sports, photography, food and beverages, music, a good roadtrip, coffee, loud patterns, and binge watching tv and movies. Despite my AP Style background, I am a proponent of the Oxford comma.
