Douglas Pearson
Douglas is a biomechanical engineer, combining his expertise in product design and the emerging world of 3D printing.
Douglas is interested in the relationship between humans and the world around them. He is passionate about impacting positive change, and more specifically, providing individualized care to those who need it most.
From 2013-2015, Douglas co-founded a start-up product design firm, RotaNovus, centering on senior mobility. RotaNovus won Hamilton Innovation Factory’s Commercialization Award and placed second in Spectrum’s Student Start-Up Factory.
Douglas holds a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Guelph and a master’s degree in engineering, entrepreneurship and innovation from McMaster University. During his studies, Douglas was a founding member of the Guelph Innovation Society and was Lead Mechanical Designer of the Guelph Robotics Team. Douglas’s skills in design and debate have been recognized and awarded throughout his education and professional career.

William-James Green
William-James is a product and industrial designer, coming from a fine arts background. He believes in holistic design; bringing together functionality with aesthetics, and attacks every design problem from a unique angle.
Also a co-founder of Rotanovus, he helped form Joovo, the award winning product idea. It was RotaNovus that kick-started his career in product design and 3D printing
William-James graduated from OCAD University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts, and has since been freelancing Art and Design work, and is always looking for new problems to solve, and ideas to realize.
