Italo A. Marroquín is a seasoned healthcare business development specialist with over 17 years of experience in optimizing CPT coding, patient experience, and medical insurance management. Throughout his career, he has demonstrated an unwavering commitment to supporting doctors and hospitals, allowing them to focus on delivering better experiences to their patients. His mission is to ensure that the work of medical professionals is recognized with the dignity it deserves, while facilitating operational efficiencies within the healthcare industry.
Recently decided to leave his corporate position as Head of the Insurance Department at Hospital El Pilar, where Italo led a team of 11 medical coding and insurance analysts who manage patient accounts 24/7, ensuring optimal service and process improvements. His leadership included initiatives such as developing the Expedited Emergency Program, which streamlined the billing process without the need for prior authorization from insurers and implementing digital medical coding systems to keep up-to-date medical coding in Guatemala. Previously, he created the Commercial Relations Department at Hospital Universitario Esperanza, successfully negotiating partnerships with international insurers and securing the hospital's affiliation as a medical reference center for both the Indian and American Embassies in Guatemala. The decision came after serious consideration to found a start up that could serve even more hospitals and medical groups in latinamerica, and why not, even for US providers.

Beyond his professional life, Italo is a devoted family man, father to three children and a baby. His passion for adventure is equally impressive—he has been a mountaineer and rock climber since the age of 12. Since 2016, Italo has also served as a volunteer in a mountain search and rescue brigade, where he applies the same dedication and resilience that defines his professional career.
