I am a CADD technician who is well-versed in drafting software, and has extensive knowledge in architecture, engineering and fabrication.
I have more than twenty years of professional experience within an office environment, in the architectural, structural engineering, civil engineering and fabrication fields. During my positions as CADD technician for design firms, I have performed numerous and varied tasks within and outside the scope of drafting and design. I am certain that my past experiences have given me the skills to perform the duties that are requested of me.
In high school, I took courses in computer-aided drafting, manual drafting, research and development. I drafted plans of MEP systems, automobiles and mechanical devices. In my collegiate drafting courses, I drafted and designed mechanical devices, refineries, electronic equipment, processors, architectural plans and aviation equipment.
Professionally, I have been involved in all phases of the production of plans for submittal, agency review, contractor bidding, construction and recordation. Fields I have professional experience in include residential and commercial architecture; residential, commercial and public civil engineering; commercial environmental engineering; residential and commercial land surveying; commercial fabrication; along with brief experience in structural engineering. My experience in architecture includes projects for private homeowners, homebuilders, dental clinics, veterinary clinics, restaurants, jewelers, retailers, storage centers, mall and shopping center tenants. My experience in civil engineering includes projects for residential developers, equipment/convenient stores and state agencies. My experience in environmental engineering includes projects for wholesale stores. My experience in land surveying includes projects for schools, churches, stores, residences, restaurants, apartments and offices. Within the civil engineering field, I have worked in the single-family residential land development and transportation., transportation and land surveying sectors. My experience in fabrication includes metal panels.
Work Terms
I currently have a full-time job, so my freelance production hours are limited during the week. I am able to freelance for roughly 15 hours in a typical week. Small projects can be created and submitted within a day. Medium sized projects would take up to a week to complete.
I prefer projects with a fixed amount. I can work with the budget range provided, and I will not intentionally try to negotiate for a high range. If the scope is reduced or increased during the production of a given project, I can accommodate for this.
My preferred method of communication is through Guru's messaging system. This insures I will always have a copy of outgoing and incoming communications, for project tracking and management. And I can refer to saved messages if adjustments were made to the scope of the project or any other variable. I have notifications turn on so that when I am not logged into my Guru profile, I can be notified of communications from clients.
