I enjoy fixing broken English. I have always been an avid reader and mistakes in the text just jump off the page at me. Now is my chance to help.

I have a BA in Economics, Economic History and Social Anthropology, and AEB 'A' level English.
After initially working for at executive level for several large manufacturing companies I became an entrepreneur and ran several businesses.
After "retiring" I took up my passion for words and now offer my service as a copy editor and proofreader on a freelance basis. I am fully competent at line editing, font size correction, paragraph editing, and correcting repetition, mis-use of words, and what I call 'muddled thinking'.

Work Terms

I can work for 6 hours a day on complicated documents ( Defence contract, 85 pages, translated from Polish 'military legalese') or 8 hours a day on straightforward work (like a 45 chapter history book), and maintain concentration.
I like the functionality of Word track changes, and am competent in using it.
If a lot of changes/suggestions have been made I like my client to send the document back to me for a final edit, to ensure that it is perfect.
My preferred means of communication is e mail.
