Accurate and high quality translations.
Me and my wife are just getting started which translating and we have yet to do any jobs professionally.
But through the little experience we have of both translating and proofreading other people`s work, we have enforced our belief that what is important is not to translate word for word but to make sure that it sounds good to the native reader, and that the appropriate language for the specific source you translate is used.
We are confident in doing that while still being accurate, which is in our opinion high quality.
I am very interested manga, anime and Japanese Tv shows. I also like to read the newspaper in Japanese, both because it is interesting and because it helps me refine my Japanese.
My wife also has similar interests and she is now trying to read manga in English to improve her English.
Work Terms
I work as an English teacher and my wife is a house wife, and we do have a lot of time to do translation work as my work is not very busy.
I have summer vacation now but will start working again in the beginning of September.
During the vacation now we could work around 40 hours/ week if needed but, from September around 20 hours/ week. We could stretch it to 30 a week occasionally if needed though.
Since we still do not have a lot of experience, we are okay with doing low paid jobs for a starter to gain some experience and references, but not for the long term as we believe in our abilities.
