Making your writings look flawless!
I’m Jace Zane, and I’ve been a professional proofreader for a little over a year. What started as a deep love for reading and language has turned into a fulfilling career that I’m incredibly passionate about. I’ve always had an eye for detail—catching the small things, like a misplaced comma or awkward phrasing, just comes naturally to me. But for me, proofreading isn’t just about fixing typos; it’s about making sure the writer’s voice shines through as clearly and powerfully as possible.
Throughout my career, I’ve worked with a wide variety of content, from fiction and nonfiction books to academic papers, marketing copy, and technical documents. Each project is different, but my goal is always the same: to make the writing clear, consistent, and error-free. I have a deep respect for the writer’s craft, and I see my role as someone who helps refine and elevate that work, making sure it’s polished and ready for its audience.
One of the things I enjoy most about proofreading is the collaboration between me and the writer, even if it’s from a distance. I love being able to spot not just the surface-level mistakes, but also offering feedback that can enhance the flow or structure of a piece. It’s satisfying to know that my attention to detail can make a real difference in the final product.
At the end of the day, I find joy in the quiet work of ensuring that each piece I proofread is the best version of itself. Whether it’s a manuscript for a bestselling author or an important report for a company, I take pride in delivering work that’s precise, professional, and polished. Proofreading may be behind-the-scenes work, but to me, it’s an essential part of creating something truly great.
