As a writer, to continue to learn, grow and explore through my work and to help other individuals and businesses share their experiences and expertise with the rest of the world.
After graduating from Boston University School of Management in 1987 with a bachelor’s degree in Business, I continued my academic journey at the University of Miami, where I took film courses and completed its prestigious Summer Film Institute, directed by Hollywood producer Paul Lazarus. During my time there, I realized my greatest strengths lie in my passion for a wide variety of topics and my desire to share those passions with others through my writing. After a few years working in the film and television industry as a set sound technician and as an associate writer at ECI Marketing in New York City, I went back to school to earn a bachelor’s degree in Journalism from the University of Central Florida. Armed with a varied educational background and some pretty cool experience, I was ready to begin my professional career as a wordsmith.
I officially began that career in 1995 as a newsletter writer for First Marketing Company in Ft. Lauderdale, Fla. I’ve since written and edited for several regional and national publications, as well as for various organizations and entities, including Orlando Magazine, Parenting, McMillan McGraw-Hill, Harcourt Publishing, Home Entertainment Magazine (Robb Report), CEO Orlando, Pegasus (UCF alumni publication), Florida Association of Realtors, the University of Central Florida, Rollins College and the American Institute of Parapsychology. I’ve also been employed as a freelance technical writer, web content provider, book editor and lecturer. My most recent projects have taken me into new and fascinating realms as a book author and documentary filmmaker.
I feel fortunate to do what I do for a living, but with the ability to write comes great responsibility, and I consider it an honor to be able to share knowledge learned through my articles, books and other communication tools.
